She completed her doctoral research in this area in 1992. She has worked in school, government, forensic and private settings and works primarily with adults and couples. To address these issues Tania offers an eclectic style of counseling with a focus on insight and self exploration and a philosophy aimed towards optimum psychological development and facilitation of health and healthy being. Her area of specialization is helping children and adolescents resolve a range of emotional and behavioral issues, and she has a particular interest in play therapy for young children. As part of the child’s therapeutic process, Karen incorporates regular parent consultations to bear an opportunity for developing strategies and to promote parents throughout their child’s therapy. Karen also specialisms in educational assessments, including assessment of Specific Learning Disabilities (e.g. dyslexia). Her approach to educational assessment is based on the CattellHornCarroll Theory, which is a comprehensive and empirically validated model of the structure of cognitive and academic abilities. Michelle Roberson is an Accredited practicing Dietitian with 20 years clinical experience, and over 10 years experience in private practice. During this time she has developed a exceptional interest and expertise in the areas of more complicated weight management and eating behavior issues, eating disorders and adolescent eating and weight issues. She has also developed and led training seminars on these topics for Dietitians which attract delegates nationwide.
