A dog training school with years of experience and lots of volunteer instructors and dealing with all manner of dog behavioral issues. With a definite focus on making your pet the superior companion, we teach you and your family the skills to keep your dog happy and healthy socialized with other pets and people. We assist rehabilitate rescued dogs and donate puppies a good start, and are hopeful that our classes will aid strengthen the bond between you and your pet. Maximum importantly, training sessions are held in an environment much like a visit to the park, ensuring that your dog learns to behave off leash and in public. Hence we bear flexibility in our training so that members can progress in manner that fits their capabilities and commitments. BCDTS’ fundamental philosophy is to encourage our members, their dogs and the community. All our Instructors and Helpers volunteer their time so that funds raised can be worn to promote deserving community and animal welfare organizations. Dogs are pack animals and therefore are happiest when they grasp the rules they have to live by who is the boss, what is warranted and that good behavior will be rewarded. We offer you the skills to make safe your dog understands the rules and the commands, arrive when they are called, wait for the next command and look you in the eye with anticipation. The BCDTS training philosophy is to primarily use positive reinforcement and reward to shape behavior, while recognizing that purely certain training will not labor for all dogs in all situations. All the instructors donate their time voluntarily, and many of the instructors have been recognized by the City of Glen Eire for their contribution to the community by a Community Service Award. Retain their dogs on precede at all times, unless directed by an instructor or official of the school. A member with an bold dog must muzzle it. Some instructors have expertise to aid with bold dogs. When bringing an aggressive dog, please depart it in the car until you have spoken with a Club Official. Behind becoming a member of the Club, you and your dog will be asked to unite a beginners class and be introduced to the training methods of the Club. Come at the times indicated above bring the following: The core skills for the below grades include good recall (coming when called at the park), good behavior around people, other dogs and distractions such as bikes or scooters, and good manners around the home! Your progress through each smooth of the club will depend on how you and your dog manage the training. There is no right amount of time at one smooth earlier progressing and dogs all prosper at different speeds. Hence we provide flexibility in our training so that members can progress in manner that fits their capabilities, commitments and family situation. Many owners decide to stay at one glossy as they and their dogs impartial like coming along each week! Check the starting times as you go up through the levels as, on Sundays, more advanced classes begin later. Fun days our Volunteers are willing to make training fun.
